Healing is a natural part of life, it is as natural as breathing. You are healing a myriad of things in your body right now as you are reading this article.
So what goes wrong, why do we suddenly stop healing or fail to heal a particular “problem”. This is the question that must be answered in any diagnostic assessment. When a patient walks into my office I am very attentive to what systems in their bodies are failing to heal. Very often in my experience it is the brain and nervous system that is failing to heal, but it could be the hormonal system. Whichever it is it is my responsibility as a practitioner to attend to that system as well as the specific pain presented.
From the understanding that when we touch a body it immediately responds to that touch and so we can find ways to interact with another body to bring about healing. It is very important that all practitioners learn how to touch another human being.
